George Gittoes is an Australian artist on the world stage. Renowned for getting to the battlefront and into the lives of the people who inhabit the world's conflict zones, he is an artist at the centre of the climatic points in our history. Gittoes has chronicled our world conflicts in film, paint, diaries and photography. Drawing from a rich history of influence including Goya, Van Gogh, Beckman and Warhol, he has carved out his own artistic journey working 24/7 to create the most audacious imagery in contemporary art.
In this event, join Ralph Hobbs, Art Director of Art Equity (Gittoes Australian dealer for 5 years) who will give insight into the artwork, art practice and times of this extraordinary artist. You'll have the privilege of viewing the artist's personal diaries and his current pop-up exhibition titled Transitions.
